Principle and application
The kit is based on sandwich immunechromatographic assay to detect Canine EHR/ANA/BAB antibody in canine
serum or plasma, which is rapid, accurate and easy-to-operate.
Sample Preparation
Plasma?Serum: Collect 0.5-1 ml of blood with blood collecting tube(NOT containing anticoagulants such as heparin,
EDTA and sodium citrate), put with some slope at room temperature, wait until the yellow liquid is observed, then
centrifuge the mixture at room temperature for 2 minutes in the speed of 5000 rpm or put it at 4 ? .The yellow
supernate will act as the sample.
Sensitivity and specificity
The kit is 95% sensitive to Canine Ehrlichia/Anaplasma/Babeis gibsoni antibody, the specificity is 100%.
The kit does NOT detect antibodies of Rabies, CAV, CPIV etc.
Limitation of the methodology
? The kit is for screening purpose and on-site test. Positive result shall be further confirmed by ELISA or other official
methodologies. Diagnosis of Canine EHR/ANA/BAB antibody shall be determined by the vet, considering both
clinical symptom and laboratory test.
? Negative result indicates that there are not Canine EHR/ANA/BAB antibody in the tested sample, but if acute
symptom were observed, we cannot exclude the possibility of Canine EHR/ANA/BAB antibody.
